PAW is seeking volunteers in all areas listed below. If you are interested in assisting in one or more of these areas, please fill out the form at the following link and the Committee Chair(s) will contact you directly. Thank you for your interest!
2022-2023 COMMITTEES
Marketing and Communications Develop and maintain marketing materials for all aspects of PAW’s work
Build awareness for the organization in the community
Develop and maintain the PAW website
Maintain social media presence on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube
Create and publish a monthly electronic newsletter
Take pictures and create videos for use in internal and external communications
Calling all marketers, publicists, social media mavens, copywriters, photographers, graphic designers, and content creators)
Fundraising/Resource Development
Secure grants and individual and corporate giving to carry out mission of PAW
Manage donor relationships and work with marketing and events committees to ensure donors/sponsors receive benefits promised
Finance
Discuss and evaluate financial health of nonprofits that submit proposals focusing on the viability of the nonprofit
Identify financial questions/issues for the grant review committees
Great for those with accounting skills, fiscal experience, love a ledger or are a self-proclaimed “numbers person”
Emergency Grants
Manage the Emergency Grants application and grant awarding and process
Establish criteria for evaluating grant applications
Screen all applications for eligibility
Review all grant requests
Make recommendations to ED to approve/deny grant requests
Work with Treasurer to award funds
Education
Provide information about current community issues and challenges to support effective charitable giving
Plan and present zoom and live educational events on animal welfare topics/animal welfare organizations
Create and maintain a website resource list
Prepare newsletter articles on relevant topics
Events
Organize- in partnership with education committee, fundraising committee and other committees- education, fundraising, networking and social events
Identify and secure meeting venue, food, technological needs
Coordinate the event program with other committees
Set up and clean up the facility the day of the event
Technology
Oversee the planning, research, implementation, and support of technologies and tools that facilitate the objectives and operations of PAW
Research and implement tools to support various Committee efforts, e.g., event RSVPs, website, event registration, grant submissions.
