![]() "Our post started with this beautiful face. This once-desperate shelter senior who is now known as Finn. (Stay tuned for more Finn news!). We weren’t the only ones who answered the call for help that day. We had fosters, both experienced and new, step up to open their hearts and homes to these beautiful souls. We also received a message from a new friend, (who happens to be with a very special organization )who was moved to make a difference to the Newark shelter dogs. Thanks to Karen and the kindhearted people of Partners In Animal Welfare, we received a $1000 grant to put towards the medical needs of the Newark dogs who were featured in that plea for help! We are both honored and grateful to have received this much-needed grant, as all of the dogs we have pulled have required medical attention, and in most cases, surgery. Thanks to Partners in Animal Welfare ( and his absolutely amazing foster family) Finn went from a scared shelter senior to a very loved dog who has a brand new life full of love and happiness. We look forward to sharing the stories of the other dogs who were helped, and to working with this amazing organization again in the future. Thank you again, Karen and friends." -Halfway Home Animal Rescue Team |
"Thank you to Partners in Animal Welfare (PAW) for their generous grant, which will help Pelahatchie and Rudy with their medical needs.
Pelahatchie and Rudy came to us from Wolf Pond Sanctuary in Magee, Mississippi. The sanctuary will be closing soon and we've been working hard to rescue the remaining dogs. Pelahatchie was adopted in December 2022 and Rudy is still hoping to find his forever family soon. PAW is dedicated to advancing animal welfare by providing financial support to animal welfare organizations.
